Hoehne School District RE-3

The Center of Educational Excellence

Bus Transportation

The majority of Hoehne School students will ride the bus to and from school. All phases of bus transportation; loading, intransit and unloading are carefully supervised and high standards of conduct will be maintained. Transportation to and from school is a privilege. The privilege WILL BE REVOKED if rules and regulations are not strictly adhered to as stated in the student policies. Please disuss this with your child before problems arise. The bus driver maintains the same role on the bus as a teacher or administrator in the classroom and school. STUDENT CONDUCT CODE does apply to transportation. The student may be suspended or expelled in accordance with established policies including discipline of habitually disruptive students for flagrant violation of bus rider conduct regulations or conduct detrimental to the safe operation of the bus. Due to the number of students that ride the buses, some buses, cannot take on extra passengers. Please inquire with the school before you assume your child can ride another bus. All bus change requests must be in writing in a timely period.
